A couple of months ago I bought some new chairs for my kitchen table. I really love the chairs, but they have a stupid habit: When the room has been cold for a while the plastic gets very cold as well. So in winter I sit on icicles until the room temperature has made the plastic warm. With this free sewing pattern for chair cushions you are able to make some garden chair cushions for yourself!
I have a fable for foxes and was lucky to find this cute fabric pattern in one of my neighbourhood’s haberdashery shops.
- 1 m -1,5 yards cotton fabric. I used a fox fabric from Moda Fabrics.
- 1 m -1,5 yards interfacing – use a thick kind. I am using it double layered here.
- Sewing thread in matching color
- Sewing pins

Cut 8 cotton fabric squares: 35 cm x 35 cm = 14 inches x 14 inches
Cut 8 interfacing squares: 35 cm x 35 cm = 14 inches x 14 inches
Trim the edges of the fabric corners and the interfacing corners so they appear rounded.
Put pieces together for a cushion: 1 piece of fabric below, 2 pieces of interfacing inside and one piece of fabric outside. Turn edges inward to make a niece edge and pin them together.
Sew edges with the sewing machine.
This is a pretty easy way to make some comfy seats. The same technique can be applied to making covers for outside garden chairs.
I love foxes :-)
