Sunflower Headband Crochet
This is my first ever published pattern in a book, – and of course I am a little proud of this one :-)
Pattern Two years ago I experimented with a motif for a headband/hairband and it got accepted by the editors of Crochet One Skein Wonders: 101 Projects from Crocheters around the World. Follow the link to Amazon, where you can see many patterns from the book. The pattern comes with a chart, so even a beginner can make this.
Yarn 1 skein Muskat from Drops in shade #12 red, 50 grams (1.76 ounces), 109 yards (100 meters). 100 % Egyptian cotton.
Hook 4 mm US: G/6
The book is packed with projects that can all be made with one skein of yarn. That means the book is a stashbuster for all those leftover skeins one has. – And who hasn’t lots of those, when you love to work with fibers :-)
The projects are organized by yarn weight, so you can easily see which yarns in your stash can be made to certain projects. There is a good variety to the items: Home decor, baby, accessories and jewelry projects.
The book has 100 other small projects. When the editors send me my copy, I will give this pretty necklace by Julie Blagojevich a try. In summer I like working projects, that are not huge and can be carried to the local park.
