Queen Annne’s Shawl

Recently I saw this new pattern for a lace shawl/shawlette. So even if it still is darn cold outside I long for spring and a life without two layers of mittens when riding the bike… This shawlette is worked in no time, so it is perfect for a gift. It needs some wet blocking to make the lace elements come out nicely.

Pattern    The designer is Rebecca Velasquez  and I bought her pattern on Ravelry. The pattern comes with a good crochet chart, so no fiddling around with written instructions needed ;-)

Yarn   3 skeins Blend bamboo from Hjertegarn. 50g/1.76 ounces, 150m/164 yards.  70% bamboo, 30% cotton. Color #7017 .  This is a sport weight yarn.

Hook    5mm    US: H/8

Looove this one and think about making one for a birthday gift.

Lovely shawlette pattern, – looks easy will love to see it on my daughter.

  2. This shawlette is in my favorites. I won’t be making shawls until next fall. I am currently finishing my last afghan for the year to be followed up by handbags and totes for summer.

Your version of the shawlette shows the detail better than that on Ravelry where it is shown in white. I really like the light blue color you chose. Are you going to post it on the seller’s site?

      Hi Cathy,
Thanks for the compliments :-) The seller has already posted in this thread, so she is aware of my version of the scarf.
The pattern is very easy to follow – you will make it in no time in fall!

I absolutely love the shade of blue you picked. I’m very glad to hear you didn’t have any problems with the pattern. :)
