Crochet from Malmø
Just before Christmas I went for a shopping trip to Malmø, Sweden. In an alley I found a small shop where they sold handymade goods. At first I thought the items where imported because of the low prices. But the shop sells stuff made from mentally disabled people in Malmø working at Arbetskooperativet Alfa. Hopefully they get a fair share for their work. I had to buy this gorgeous cobalt blue granny squares shawl. I don’t do grannies myself, but I know how much work there has been invested in this shawl.
On the same trip I found this special plastic vase with crochet ornaments on it. It is just plastic glued together, but the vase is very stable as soon as you pour water into it.
