All Shawl
by Doris Chan
Doris Chan’s All Shawl is an all time classic. More than 1000 people on Ravelry have made the shawl and it has been an my To Do list for a long time. Although I haven’t made many Doris Chan projects I am a big fan of her. She is incredibly talented as a crochet designer and has created many beautiful sweaters and cardigans. You can find many other free patterns by her on Ravelry.
For this project I used one skein Lace Merino from Ella Rae. It is color #114 – Purple , Tan, Wine. 100 g, 420 m – 460 yards. I used 250 m – 270 yards.
This is the short version of the project. I experimented a little with the hook sizes: The first 10 rows are made with a 7 mm hook and the rest with a 5 mm hook. (US hook sizes approx. K/10½ and H/8.
As all lace shawls this one also needs to be blocked, else the nice lace edging will not show.
