By Kim Hargreaves
Kim Hargreaves is my favourite knit designer, because her patterns are always very classical and stylish as well. The sweater had been hibernating for a while, but then I got my act together and finished the sleeves. Always the sleeves, that do not get finished… The above sweater is typical for Kim’s style: Very simplistic, but always with a great stylish impact. The rippled effect at the top and for the cufft are made with simple garter stitches. The luxurious Rowan, Calmer cotton yarn is a very soft yarn. Unfortunately Rowan discontinued this great yarn, so summer sweaters like this one are not on my future To Do list. (If you have any ideas about a good substitute for this yarn, please write about it in the comment section below!)
The instructions for the pattern are clear and easy to follow.
