Sideways Shawl

Pattern  From the book Knitted Shawls, Stoles and Scarves  by Nancie M. Wiseman.

Yarn  Rowan Ribbon Twist in Rhumba #123 and a mohair yarn in a purple shade. The Ribbon Twist yarn is no longer distributed by Rowan.

Needles  8 mm and 7 mm

A very nice warm and cozy shawl worked sideways. This is a great beginner pattern. Wool yarn and mohair yarn are switched alternately from row to row. The wool gives the shawl warmth and the mohair lends it a slightly airy feeling and it also adds some drape to it.

All projects in this book are very well written and I can highly recommend it! They are well suited for the beginner knitter – I made 5 projects from this book.
